Our program is centered around child and youth development. Which focuses on physical, socio-emotional, cognitive and character development. At the same time, we stretch our support in community-based health care, and emergency relief.
We are continuously investing in the well-being of vulnerable children in high poverty areas and has geographical coverage in Ampara, Badulla, Batticaloa, Colombo, Gampaha, Hambantota, Jaffna, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kilinochchi, Kurunegala, Mannar, Monaragala, Mullaitivu, Nuwara Eliya, Polonnaruwa, Puttalam, Rathnapura, Trincomalee, Vavuniya.
Lush forests, mountains, beaches and tea plantations cover Sri Lanka’s landscape. Sri Lanka, formerly known as Taprobane and Ceylon, is a small island at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent, rich in history and cultural influences from the Indian subcontinent, particularly through its major ethnic groups, the Sinhalese and Tamils, and its primary religions of Buddhism and Hinduism.
Poverty Robs Children of Hope
When a child grows up in poverty, resources like food, clothing or education are not the only things that are lacking. Poverty robs children of hope. A child who doesn’t know where their next meal might come from or whether there will be a safe roof over his/her head at night, can never dream big or envision a future beyond the next grim moment of survival.
By partnering with Compassion International Lanka, you will make a profound difference by planting seeds of transformation in the hearts, families, and communities who need it most. Thank you for making this mission possible!
